National Science and Engineering Week 'Our World in Motion'

Our world in motion National Science & Engineering Week shines the spotlight each March on how the sciences and engineering relate to our everyday lives and helps to inspire the next generation of scientists with fun and participative activities.

With over 4,500 events and activities attended by 1.7 million people in 2011, this is the UK's widest grassroots celebration of all things science and engineering.  You can join the celebration in 2012 and either plan your own event or ask a local organisation you know to take part.

The "Move It!" hands-on activity pack is free to download. The pack has been developed around the theme of motion and the activities encourage young people to build, move and discover how things move in the world around us, using resources that can be sourced cheaply and easily.

Includes teacher's/background notes and curriculum links for all activities.
