
World in a Tree.
2011/12 our competition for International Year of Forests
The Theme A bird sings high up in the branches, a bat watches an insect scuttle across the bark. Sycamore seeds spin to the ground. Trees are magical, so why not take a closer look and make a picture.
Prizes: We have subscriptions for two terrific publications Aquila Children's Magazine full of fun, challenge and inspiration for 8-13 year olds and Positive News the newspaper where you can discover all the great work being done for the environment and give your spirits a lift. The Natural History Museum will present all the winning children with free copies of their fabulous young member's magazine 'Second Nature' .
Terms of entry
1. Please use A4 paper. If you want to keep your original work, you can send a jpeg image by email (no bigger then 100 kb please) a coloured print or photocopy. We can return your pictures if you send a stamped addressed envelope. The competition dates are 25th May 2011 - 23 May 2012.
3. There are 3 age categories: 9 yrs and under, 10 yrs - 12 yrs, 13yrs and over.
4. Please include your name, age and contact details.
